The TES engineering department in Dow Benelux Terneuzen is looking for an experienced Piping Materials Engineer, who will make an important contribution to the construction and modification of chemical process installations.

What do you do?

Do you have the ambition to be our Piping Material Engineer at DOW?

  • Consistency checks of supplied process data
  • Prepare specifications for special piping materials such as valves, special fittings, steam traps etc. 
  • Submits for bid to Vendors and technical review of review the returned quotes
  • Review of Vendor Documents 
  • Perform internal pressure calculations
  • Review repair clamp designs and calculations
  • Develop / review piping specifications
  • Coordinate remote calculation work, if applicable
  • Coordinate the project activities with piping engineers and process engineers
  • Solve production plants issues with materials, valves and corrosion issues

This is who you are

This is what we are looking for in our Piping Material Engineer at DOW

  • Min. 5 years experience in piping materials engineering
  • Bachelor or master degree in mechanical engineering
  • Good verbal and written communication skills 
  • Knowledge of national and international regulations and codes (valve codes, AMSE B31.3, PED etc.) 
  • Good command of the Dutch and English languages, both spoken and written.
